Picture this: a woman in her prime watching her life crumble into pieces because of undiagnosed ADHD. That was me. It took 30 years to get diagnosed finally. Like countless other women, I had been masking my executive dysfunction with people-pleasing, smarts, and creative problem-solving. But due to the overwhelming demands of motherhood, I started to unravel.


Motherhood wasn't what the glossy magazines and social media posts had promised. It highlighted my undiagnosed ADHD to the point where it became unbearable. I was surrounded by shame and the image of a hot-mess-mom. The medical world waved it off as a standard adjustment for new mothers, but deep down, I knew my battle was far more than that.


My journey to manage and fully accept my ADHD was an adventure. I searched for allies who understood me and discovered the unfortunate truth that typical stimulant medication was not suitable for me. I had to navigate my ADHD journey without medication, solely relying on my strength and ingenuity.


Through embracing my unique neurological wiring and developing my creative strategies, I finally saw the light at the end of the tunnel. The journey was imperfect, but my unwavering determination to create a life that worked for me kept me going.
